Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu, will forever be grateful to the Nigerian Police for vindicating her after the fraud saga which trailed her personality.

The actress had some weeks back decided to use her celebrity status to help create awareness for a dying fan, Mayowa Ahmed, who was in need of medical attention and needed to be flown abroad but after raising the needed funds for her health, it turned out to be drama all the way.

Reports later emerged that the fund raising for the sick Mayowa was a scam and after much drama, the actress had to involve the Police who carried out their investigations.
Emerging reports now has it that the Police has concluded their investigations and have confirmed that Mayowa is actually sick and needs to be flown abroad as there was no fraud involved.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, who confirmed this, said the command therefore had to remove the embargo placed on the accounts, where the sum of N81million and 100,000 dollars, were raised by public spirited Nigerians, home and abroad.

He said according to their findings, the controversy was caused by misunderstandings over the modalities for dispensing and controlling the money between the Ahmed family, the Nollywood actress, Toyin Aihmaku and Life Stake Foundation.

While some of her colleagues and fans stood by her, some were of the opinion that the actress was illegally involved in the issue as they claimed she wanted to use the opportunity to empower herself financially.
