President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has advocated for the suspension of Alabi Abiodun who served as a center referee when MFM FC hosted Shooting Stars.
It would be recalled that 3SC won MFM with a 1-0 at the Agege Stadium, in a Match Day 23 fixture played on Sunday.
The supporters of the home team who were not happy about the way Abiodun handled the match invaded the pitch shortly after Ebitimi netted for shooting stars.
The angry supporters where eventually controlled by the help of Pinnick and security personnel.
“In my opinion the referee killed the spirit of the game and I know what I’ll recommend to the committee,” Pinnick said.
“As the president of the NFF, my opinion must be taken very seriously because our aim is to develop the game and I’m going to recommend suspension for the referee. The fans are never justified for any form of hooliganism.”
