In recent time the rates at wish soldiers have been harassing civilians have been really alarming as stories of these assaults keeps springing up on a regular basis.

Some videos has surfaced online where some soldiers have beaten up Nigerian citizens who they are supposed to protect for wearing camouflage, even cripples were not speared from their wrath.

Last month, Nollywood actress Ebere Ohakwe had reported on her social media handle the ill treatment she received from a soldier on a check point along Port Harcourt – Onisha road who inflicted injuries on her.

Well, its appears this actress is well connected as the soldier involved has been sentenced to 28 days imprisonment with hard labor with forfeiture of salary within that time frame.

The action was carried out by the Nigerian army after finding the accused, Sulieman Olamilekan guilty of maltreatment.
