Aside football, boxing, tennis another sport that is recently being encouraged by the government is wrestling. River state governor, Nyesom Wike hosted a wrestling competition during the weekend.

The sporting competition which was held at the Sharks Football stadium  was organized for both male and female wrestlers in the state.

The event was really one of its kind. It was a fierce battle of strength and wit between wrestlers from Rivers and Bayelsa states.
