Oxlade: I’m facing boycotting, blackmail from music industry gatekeepers
Gatekeepers in the Nigerian music industry have been accused of blacklisting singer, Ikuforiji Olaitan, popularly known as Oxlade.
The accusation was made by Oxlade, who noted that it has become a norm for some gatekeepers in the industry to boycott him while some of his senior colleagues blackmail him.
He added that some of his colleagues who are copying his musical style are backbiting him.
The singer noted that the experience has become traumatic for him, seeing that he is a target for these set of people.
In a recent revelation, Oxlade said, “Many boys don dey sound like me and still many boys don dey backbite me. Why me?
“Some gatekeepers don dey boycott me. Some OGs don dey blackmail me.”
