Few days after the return of Raw Nwanne and some other entertainers from Malaysia, another group of Nigerian acts are poised to invade the Asian country, for another wondrous outing.
Tagged: Kualar Lumpur Storm, the two-day post- independence show holds from December 3 to 5, and its already causing ripples among Nigerians and foreigners residing in that country. Entertainers billed to help light up the event are: humour merchant, Nkem Owoh, Klint D’Drunk, Flavour, Gordons and Chuxy.
According to Chuxy, the boss of Bigtune AV, who’s organizing the show in collaboration with Onyeisinchuaja, King Evans and CY Entertainments respectively, they agreed to storm Malaysia with the above acts, based on popular demands.
“Nigerians living in Malaysia and other neighbouring countries contacted us to bring them these acts. It was meant to coincide with our independence, but due to logistic challenges, we decided to make it a post-independence/pre Xmas show. It will also afford them the opportunity to come together and relax with their kiths and kins under one roof. We have a very large community in Malaysia, especially the capital, Kualar Lumpur.
So, this show will further bring all of them together and give them that Naija feeling and ambience, which they have been missing. We intend making it a yearly affair, so that these brothers and sisters of ours, will always have a taste of home without necessarily coming home,” explained the former member of the defunct Chuxy and Demxy group.
Continuing, he assured that his foreign partners were already creating the necessary awareness that will help make the outing a huge success in Malaysia, adding that aside performing, the stars would also visit major TV/radio houses, upon arrival for interviews. “All the entertainers going with us are in high spirits and have promised to ‘bomb’ Malaysia with their performances; in fact, they are all in killer moods, even me.”
