The leading female athlete and currently crowned African women Table Tennis champion Funke Oshonaike has stated that she is not yet ready to call it quit with the sports.
Hence she has vowed to continue playing for as long as her body can carry her and as long as she still remain a top player in Nigerian Table Tennis. Oshonaike who was the only female Table Tennis player from Nigeria at the just concluded Africa senior Table Tennis championship in Morocco went all the way to beat Africa’s number 1 female Table Tennis player Dina Meshraf of Egypt. At 41 Funke is still powering on. She’s one of Nigerian athletes keeping the culture of Table Tennis in Nigeria like it used to be in the past.
