Over the weekend a picture of the Governor of Edo State, Comrade Oshiomhole giving President Goodluck Jonathan the ‘Ebola greeting’ trended heavily online.

It hasn’t be ascertained whether the two heavy weight Nigerian leaders were just pulling the legs of the onlookers or intentionally waved the handshake greetings.

Since the outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus, Nigerians in general have applied caution to their ways of exchanging greetings and pleasantries.

While some dodge the normal handshake and hugs, some others pocket their hands and simply say ‘Hi’ to their friends and colleagues for fear of contamination.
Also for the fear of massive spread of the killer virus, schools are yet to be formerly declared open by the Federal Government.

However, October 8 has been announced as the official resumption date for all schools, both private and public while provisions are to be made to keep the innocent young ones protected.
