When small and medium scale enterprises are looking for loans to collect to establish their businesses which will in turn give rise to employment opportunities, the government continues to put in place policies that are not attainable for these small business owners because of the collateral involved.
Apart from small established businesses, young corpers with good business ideas are wasting their time and efforts to look for jobs and continue to serve their fatherland ending up to collect chips of N19,000 which sometimes does not come early and they end up begging and waiting to be used as election supervisors in various polling units. This is the dying future of the Nigerian youths under a failed state full of corrupt leaders.
If an aspirant can get a N27 Million loan to buy political form along with other competitors, then how does he tends to pay back the money if he doesn’t win and if he wins, it means the first few years of his tenure, will be used to scam the citizens with the provision of fake infrastructures which will not be able to stand the test of time.
Former military President and 2015 Presidential aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, speaking at the National Secretariat of the APC recently on October 16th, 2014, disclosed that he feels sorry for himself after getting money from his bank manager in Kaduna.
According to him, “It’s a pity I couldn’t influence this amount to be put down as in the case of ladies and the disable that intend to participate. I always look left and right in our meetings but I could not read sympathy, so I kept my trap. But I felt heavily sorry for myself because I don’t want to go and ask somebody to pay for my nomination forms, because I always try to pay myself, at least for the nomination. N27 million is a big sum, thankfully I have personal relationship with the manager of my bank in Kaduna and I told him that very soon the forms are coming, so, whether I am on red, or green or even black please honour it otherwise I may lose the nomination.”
With such an amount of money being approved for political campaign, please how will there be development in the country. What will happen to the fresh graduates that are unemployed? How will D’banj’s agricultural campaign grow in such a state, when a bank is granting loan for political form? A lot of questions will continue to come up if serious analysis is not taken.
