Nollywood big wigs across the country are set to grace this year’s edition of The Sun Man of the Year award ceremony holding in Lagos next Saturday.
Among top stars billed to make the event colourful are: Segun Arinze, AGN President; Ejike Asiegbu, former AGN president; Emeka Enyiocha, Zik Zulu Okafor, Monalisa Chinda, Stephanie Okereke, Ngozi Ezeonu, Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, Uche Jumbo, Emem Isong, Vivian Ejike, Victor Osuagwu, Adaorah Ukoh, Oby Edozien, Osita Iheme, Chinedu Ikedieze, among many others.
Musicians also have indicated interest in being part of the epoch-making event. Top on the list is President, of PMAN, Admiral Dele Abiodun; Bolaji Rosiji, former PMAN president, Stella Monye, Prince Wadada, Ugo Stevenson, Ekwe Stereoman, Eddy Remedy, Nico Gravity, Timaya, Faze, among many others.
The Board, management and staff of The Sun Publishing Limited would be honouring the duo of Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), governor of Lagos State and Mr. Tayo Aderinokun, GMD/CEO, GT Bank Plc, for excellent strides taken in public service and in the private sector respectively.
The occasion, slated for February 20, 2010 at Expo Hall, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos by 5pm, would be chaired by Alhaji (Dr) Maitama Sule, Nigeria’s former Permanent Representative to the United Nations, while Senator (Dr) Ken Nnamani, former Senate president owill deliver a keynote address.
The event promises to feature politicians, bankers, business icon, among others.
The Sun Man of the Year award holds every February, a tradition established since the first edition in 2003, which was won by Dr. Mike Adenuga. Others who have won the award are Professor Chukwuma Soludo, ex-governor of Central Bank of Nigeria; Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, ex-chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC); Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, ex-minister of education; Governors Peter Obi of Anambra State and Gov Rotimi Amaechr of Rivers State (joint winners) and Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State.
