Chika Ike, the Nollywood star actress’ attention has been drawn to some people milking her fans dry, demanding for money, recharged cards and what have you from her loving fans. The beautiful thespian, who has had series of sleeplessness over the issue, has come to deprecate the acts of the impostors as criminal offence. In a brief chat with her PR, Serah Donald, we gathered that Chika, a well known actress in Nollywood and beyond would never, for any reason, solicit for recharged cards or money from her fans.
“It’s an extortion of the highest order and it’s criminal too. A lot of people have been calling Chika that some people are actually using her name on Facebook to be making some nasty requests from her fans; this really gets her down, the reason is because, her name is a brand she has built over the years and someone, somewhere is impersonating in a bid to tarnish it,” her spokesperson said.
In view of this, the talented actress is advising her fans all over the world that she doesn’t run a facebook account, she only has a FAN PAGE account and if she is doing competition or anything related to that, she will announce it on her FAN PAGE to show its authenticity and not on one facebook account operated by hackers.
If you recall that, Chika is not the only entertainers faced with these challenges, other big names like hers too in the industry have had, in one way or the other, terrible and unpalatable experience of internet hackers or impersonators
