Nollywood actor, Dejo Tunfulu, with the real name, Kunle Mac-Adetokunbo, has passed away. He was aged 49. Dejo’s colleague Kunle Afod broke the news via his verified Instagram page.
The actor reportedly died on Thursday night.
The actor’s son-in-law identified as Big Abbaz also confirmed the development.
He said: “We lost him this morning. May Allah grant him Aljanah Firdaus and forgive his shortcomings.”
However, a check on Dejo’s Instagram page showed that he posted one day ago.
Bolaji Amusan, National President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), confirmed the death to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday.
Amusan, who was in shock and emotional about the development, said the Tunnfulu died on Thursday night.
He said the sad occurrence was shocking as Adetokunbo attended a party three days ago.
“Yes, we lost Dejo Tunfulu, I am so shocked because he still attended a party three days ago.
“May God grant him eternal rest, the association will communicate to the public further,” he said.
Adetokunbo is a prominent Yoruba comic actor, writer, and producer.
He was born on May 31, 1972, in Idumota, Lagos Island area of Lagos State and hails from Ikija area of Abeokuta in Ogun.
He is known for “Hally The Drummer” (2016) and “Jide Jendo” (2020).
