Manchester United will be facing a tough set of fixtures throughout October with away trips to Liverpool and Chelsea, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic is keen to keep himself in the best possible shape and claims there is ‘no free time’ for a top level sportsman, only ‘hard work and objectives’ as he keeps himself fit during the two week international break.
‘He’s unbelievable,’ said Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera. ‘He doesn’t lose one training session. He trains every day at his best trying to get everyone at their highest level. He is very, very aggressive and demanding, but in a good way because every day he wants to win every training session. We are very lucky to have Zlatan with us.
‘You see the way he behaves. The way he trains even before the session, he is always stretching, taking care of his body, that is the way a professional has to behave.
‘When I was not in a top team I used to admire these kind of players and I wanted to be one of them one day, being at Man United eight or nine season, but it is not easy. He’s an example for every one of us not just the young players. I am not young, not old, I’m in the middle at 26 and he is an example for me as well.’
