It is not every day we see Davido and Wizkid together. While their individual success stories and jams inspire and thrill many, the acute shortage of their combined presence always seem to lend credence to rumours of beef and hate between them.
These rumours have not always been unfounded, as the duo have at different times lent credence to same via their social digs at each other. Whether it’s all for the game or for fun, their ‘seen together’ time is a always a rarity.
As such, when both of them hooked up for an outing this Christmas, fans have not hidden their excitement over a better relationship between two of Nigeria’s finest stars. The two ‘small but mighty’ music stars have had a very successful year, with Wizkid getting a Grammy Nomination tag as well as winning Artiste of the Year at the just held Headies. Davido on his own part have had a great year with sold out shows and steady circulation in the entertainment circles. After all of these, it makes sense for them to raise glasses together, right? No ‘beef’ this time, just chicken and drinks. Sounds cool.

The unasked question is: Is the Davido/Wizkid collabo going to happen in 2017? Well, the way things are going, it might just happen sooner than later. With both of them on the same global Sony Music label, things can happen very fast on that front. It’s only a matter of time now.
