The phynofest is a yearly event organized by Nigeria famous rapper Phyno also known as king of the east. The 2017 festival took place on the 20th of November in the city of enugu.

In attendance were many other stars and personality, but the festival was said to experience a high rate of rape. 20 cases of rape were reported during the event and it is believed that many more were not uncovered.

The rapper has responded to this on social media that he had no idea of this; he also stated that the numbers of security personnel was numerous and that he had deployed over a hundred and twenty bouncers for the event.

He said “proper investigation is been carried out on all the reported case after the concert but those that was reported before now, the felons are properly dealt with and they are with the authority for proper punishment. To all those that are a victim of this illicit action am extremely sorry.”

Phyno responded to this story on the 17th of December before attending Olamide’s concert tagged ‘Olamide live in Lagos’.
