What happened to Nigeria’s resort centres? Why do these celebrities, who have got the where withal to patronise it, desert it for foreign ones?
Mercy Johnson recently released some pictures of her and the family on vacation in Dubai, not a bad idea though, but one thing they need to know is that Dubai wouldn’t have been that wonderful if the citizens with the wherewithal didn’t support the country and its tourism up to the level it attracts tourists from all over the world.
There are uncountable resort centres with state of the art facilities in Nigeria which can match that of other foreign countries in the world.
There’s the Obudu Cattle Ranch, there’s Matsirga Waterfalls, Gashaka Gumti Park, the list is endless.
The celebrities are the ones to help sell Nigeria’s tourism by promoting it and not that of other countries. The Minister of Tourism really needs to look into this, lest the tourism sector collapses.
