A new Coalition Movement has been launched at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, one week after former President Olusegun Obasanjo proposed a political movement.
CNG understands that Obasanjo is not present at the launch, however, two former governors on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Donald Duke and Olagunsoye Oyinlola are in attendance.
The former Nigerian leader had released a statement on 23 January, in which he advised President Muhammadu Buhari against seeking re-election in 2019.
He also suggested that there was no difference between the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the PDP, urging Nigerians to immediately join forces to bring about a Coalition for the country.
More to come…
