Nancy Isime speaks on her fear of fame
Movie star, Nancy Isime has relayed her initial fear of fame when she first came to limelight.
In a recent interview, the actress reflected on her early career, explaining how the thought of being in the spotlight once terrified her.
She said, “I was actually very scared of the limelight. When I started working, I used to see how a popular blog would pick random stories about famous people, and people would give unsolicited opinions. It seemed like it was okay to do that, but I was already worried about fame. I was just a kid who wanted to work.”
The actress also expressed gratitude for the opportunities she had found in Nigeria. She said, “I worry about people who constantly say, ‘Nigeria is bad’. They are speaking negativity into a country that is supposed to serve them. I can’t do that. Nigeria has given me everything—fame, money, and the ability to take care of myself and my family. There are just a few people who make it seem like it shouldn’t be that way, but Nigeria is blessed.”
