I am Duyilemi Akindele Felix, you might probably have come across my name perhaps through my numerious public appearances, books, or on radio. I had my Masters at the University of Ibadan where I also bagged my first degree.

I go around the country today giving inspiring motivational messages not because I am a motivational speaker but because I have motivational stories from my personal experiences to share.

I was born some years ago, my father had seven wives and we were like 37 in our compound as far as I can remember in a small village called Orita J4 a suburb of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state. My Mum contributed three to the family, myself being the last of the three. Things were ok for some time until my father died. He was a generous man but with a weakness, he didn’t make provision for his family. I was ten at this time and my father’s death left us penniless. My mother did all forms of odd jobs in order to take care of us(I salute her courage).

Relatives did little or nothing to come to our aid and the earnings of my mother seemed insignificant in face of myriad of responsibilities that confronted us. My elder brother struggled to finish through high school and my immediate elder sister dropped out of school to assist the family. At this time, I had stopped schooling. However, my dream of going to school remained and I constantly thought about it. One day, after two years of staying at home, I called Mum on our way from the farm that I would love to go back to school because I didn’t want to spend all my life in the farm and become a local farmer!

My Mum was really touched and promised to do everything within her capability to ensure I was back to school.
I resumed school and began where I had stopped while my other mates had gone ahead of me, that wasn’t a big deal the most important thing was, ‘Felix is back to school’ Like they say, the rest is history. “Blessed is the man who refuses to compromise with the condition he finds himself”
