My generation of actors will take Nollywood to the next level – Clinton Joshua
A fast-rising actor, Clinton Joshua, has said the present generation of actors will take Nollywood to the next level.
The actor prophesied that with the way the movie industry of Nigeria is developing rapidly, Westerners will soon have to pay heavily to view Nigerian films.
Speaking about his career, Joshua, said he is not interested in the fame that comes with acting, that his priority is to grow in his career.
He said, “I won’t say I am famous. A couple of people know me but either way, I am not too concerned about fame. I am just focused on acting and my business.
“I believe that my generation of actors would take the industry to the next level; to a place where Westerners would buy tickets to watch our movies.”
Reliving his character of Jidenna in the movie, Treasures in the Sky, the actor said, “Jidenna is a really nice guy; too nice, some might say. He takes nothing to heart, is always happy and smiling, always trying to spread love around. I love the reaction of people towards the character. I appreciate the love and embrace it. It makes me want to do better.”
