After paying huge amount of money to study law at the university, son pf renowned lawyer and human right activist Femi Falana, Folarin Falana better known as Falz, says he has no regrets choosing music over his certificate.

According to Falz, he had to study to acquire quality education to help him expand his horizon as an artiste, but had to follow is passion which is music.

“One cannot deny the relevance of the knowledge picked up while obtaining the degree. It ‘s always a good thing to get a degree, it expands your horizon as an artiste while providing you the means for branching out,” he advised.

The artiste further denied that his father’s position as a legal luminary helped him get connections because he is not into music, but has been an advantage to him.

“My father is not in the music industry so I cannot say he has ‘connections in the music industry’ but he is definitely a known figure in the country and that usually works for my advantage,” he pointed.

The young Barrister was quick to admit that despite trying to stamp his name in the lips of his many fans, the Nigerian music industry is still faced with politics which is one of the dirty things that goes on underground within the industry and also lack of structure which is not allowing artistes to earn as much as they ought to earn.
