Singer and songwriter, Timi Dakolo has revealed that standing by his wife during her battle with Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo remains his biggest challenge in life.
Recall that the singer had stood by his wife when she came out to accuse Pastor Fatoyinbo of allegedly raping her as a teenager in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Speaking during an interview, Dakolo said: “It’s probably one of the most difficult things I’ve ever encountered as a man and as a person.
“When we stand before the altar and the priest and say, for better for worse, I’ll be there, these are the times when they count,” he said of his wife’s ordeal.
Explaining why his wife came out years after the incident happened, Dakolo said she just wanted to say the truth.
“I said are you sure, she said yes, I said ‘I got you. I got you when you don’t get yourself.
“Family is everything, everything else will diminish as time goes but I’ve found that you have to take care of your family and you have to set examples, not by words but by actions. When all is said and done, these are the people that got you,” he concluded.
