Going by information reaching Nigeriafilms.com, all is now set for the fourth edition of Classic Africa Merit Awards (CAMA). The event is aimed at rewarding those who have contributed immensely contributed to their chosen professions.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 10, 2014, at 10 Degrees Event Centre on Billings Way, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos with a red carpet from 2pm.
Awardees are from entertainment, business, politics, education, media, religion and sports.
Founder and Publisher of Classic International Magazine, Dave Agwazim, affirmed that Sunday’s event, which is targeted towards celebrating the five years existence of the magazine, will be the greatest event that happens in Africa this year.
According to Agwazim, “This year’s CAMA is going to be very unique because, some of our Award recipients will be coming including (President Enugu US Dr: Ifesinachi Ugwuonye, Ikay Afrique {Promoter of Nollywood in Texas US}) and UK (Mr. Sam Onwuka {Nollywood Promoter London} based on their leadership impact.
The first edition of the awards took place at Excellence Hotel, Ogba, Lagos, which was opened by the former Governor of Lagos State, Chief Lateef Jakande.
