The atlas lions of morocco had yesterday defeated the super eagles of Nigeria by a whopping 4-0 margin. The super eagles started the match very badly as they struggled to find their feet and rhythm during the encounter.
The Nigerian team was very slim as they were reduced to only 19 men by injury and suspension to select from.
The atlas lion who hosted the tournament and so far is the best team gave Nigeria a lot of work to do. They exposed the team on several occasion thanks to the Nigerian goal keeper Ajiboye who did his best until the 43rd minute.
The North Africans in the 45th minute took the lead thanks to a wonderful finish from Hadraf before the end of the first half.
The home-based Super Eagles were reduced to 10 men, after Peter Eneji Moses picked up a second booking early in the second half and the morocco took their opportunity to exploit more.
Walid El Karti ensured the Nigerian team had a lot to chew by putting the ball past Ajiboye in the 61st minute. He headed home the second after Ajiboye had parried Ismael Haddad strike to his direction after El Kaabi’s bicycle cycle was denied by the woodwork again.
Hadraf netted his brace in the 64th minute with Kaabi finally registering his name among the goal scorers nine minutes later as Morocco found a fitting way to win the showpiece on home soil.
