Nigerian singer Peter Okoye in a new interview has a word for upcoming artistes. In his words, he urged upcoming acts not to put the money first but follow their music career with passion in order to stand out in the entertainment scene.
The artiste disclosed that he was driven out of passion for music and not the money and added that if they are after the money,they won’t go far.
He recalled how himself and his brother started off in the music industry when there was no money but pressed on because of their passion for music adding that even if he wasn’t paid he will still sing and went ahead to ask upcoming acts if they could do same.
But following this,Some have bashed Peter calling him a hypocrite as they seem not agree with this idea of his.
Some have asked if passion was going to pay the bills while the others actually see some sense in what he said.
