Years after, these words of African Raggae star, Ras Kimono are still hunting the country.
In an interview with Joi John, the Rumba Stylee crooner fumed at the present state of Nigeria.
When asked what inspired one of his songs, Wicked Politicians, which went harsh on them with the line fire to burn dem wicked Politicians, Ras Kimono said, the way Nigerian politicians are going about issues show that they don’t have the interest of the masses at heart. That was the inspiration behind the song.
You will recall that over the weekend, Arch-Bishop Akinola prayed about corrupt politicians which the President, GEJ refused to say amen to.

Ras Kimono is presently promoting his album, Matter Of Time. He ruled the Reggae world in Nigeria in the 80’s and 90’s.
Soon after, he relocated to America but returned in 2009 to re-establish himself in Nigerian music scene, which had already been taken over by the younger generations.
