Few days ago, Mavin Records Boss, Don Jazzy had announced via his social media platform that Johhny Drille has being signed to his label.
The Edo born singer finished as a finalist on the season 6 of project Fame West Africa and ever since, his career hasn’t been the same.
The 26 years old pop singer who is also a guitarist did a cover for Aww, Di’ja’s hit song and that was where his connection with the Mavins came to life.
Don Jazzy loved the song and they had a meeting which led to their final agreement in February 2017.
While many would have thought Johnny would feel intimated by the caliber of artiste the label has, the singer seems confident in himself.
He said: “So far, so good. He’s been giving me a lot of control over what direction I will take and I’m really grateful for that. Yes, most of us on the label are pop artistes but then, we all have special things that we offer.”
