A man, simply identified as Ahmadu, has been arrested for allegedly abducting and impregnating a 20-year-old woman in Abaji, Abuja. 

A police source who spoke under anonymity said that the suspect was apprehended on Saturday at Unguwar Abattoir area of the town where the woman who has been allegedly missing for more than a month was found in his apartment.

The police was notified and the suspect was arrested.

 “Members of the woman’s family searched for her for almost a month without success until when the police got the information of her abduction from a neighbour in the area and arrested the suspect.” 

The woman was already pregnant for the suspect when she was found. The Abaji Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP David Kolo who confirmed the incident said the suspect would be charged to court after all investigation had been made.
