One Azu Onyia has alleged that he lost his ear drum after he was slapped by a policeman from the B “Division” because he could not pay his three months vigilante dues.

He stated that after being arrested, he paid five thousand naira for his bail so that he could go to the hospital for treatment.

He confessed that he has not being able to pay the two hundred naira monthly due because of the present economic situation in the country.

He threatened to institute legal actions against the vigilante chairman in the area, who he said brought the police to arrest and eventually slapped his ear.

The Divisional Police Officer of “B” Division, CSP Anieteh Eyoh, could not be reached on phone for comments.
