Hon. Emmanuel Ekon, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Local Content has urged local investors to commit heavily to the economy of the nation because the development is a key factor that will bring about the growth of the country.
He said this during his visit to the base of LADOL Oil and Gas Free Zone (LFZ) in Lagos. He was very pleased with the company as he lauded their strong and unrelenting faith as well as commitment to Nigeria.
“We are by this calling on other investors to emulate the good example of LADOL and invest in this country, not necessarily in the oil and gas industry alone”, he added.
Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board, Engineer Obah Patrick said his organization has a lot of role to play as a regulatory agency like supporting LADOL and other logistics service providers in the industry, as well as ensuring that they operate within the ambit of the law, as enshrined in the Local Content law of 2010”.
