LASG confirms Mohbad’s Toxicology report is out
The toxicology report conducted in the United States on the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad is out, the Lagos State Government says.
The announcement was made by Lawal Pedro (SAN), the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
At a press conference held at the Ministry of Justice Conference Room in Ikeja, to commemorate Pedro’s first year in office, the commissioner disclosed the government’s plan to commence trial to unravel the persons behind Mohbad’s death.
He also attributed the delay of the case to a prolonged investigation saying, “On Mohbad case, I agree there has been a delay, and the delay is caused by time taken for investigation
“Forensic analysis and toxicology, are all part of the investigation. Full proof investigation that can lead at least to conviction in a case that is presented before the courts.
“The reports have been received from the United States. The autopsy is now with the Lagos State Pathologist and the Coroner magistrate.
“The delay is now with Mohbad’s family who have indicated that they would like to conduct their independent autopsy but despite this, the trial will soon commence and the court will do justice in the matter.”
