The highly anticipated ‘Beat of Lagos Concert’ recently received a boost when the Lagos State Government threw is full weight behind the programme through the Ministry Of Tourism and Inter-Governmental Relations.
The concert has been a platform where fun-seekers in the ‘aquatic city’ converge to unwind and relate with their favourite celebrities.
The 2015 edition, according to the organisers, is expected to be better than the past editions put together.
In 2014, the ‘Beat Of Lagos Award’ was introduced and ‘Dorobucci’, a song by the Mavin Records crew emerged winner of the best song through an online voting system.
According to the CEO of Motbensonz, OmoToye Benson, the 2015 edition of the concert will take place in August.
He explained that ‘Beat of Lagos Concert’ provides an atmosphere for networking and also serves as a timeout to celebrate entertainment icons and songs that have kept many people dancing the year round.
Performances are expected from Chocolate City Records’ artistes and many others.
In the past, artistes like P-Square, 2Face Idibia, Wande Coal, Skales, Eldee, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Solidstar, Dammy Krane, Iyanya, Dr Sid, Lynxxx, Durella, Sheyi Shay, Tillaman, Jaywon and others have thrilled guests at the event.
