The Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Dayo Mobereola has disclosed that not less than 100 officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority were relieved of their duties in the last one year.
He made this disclosure at the ongoing annual ministerial briefing in Ikeja on Friday. The event was organized to mark the first one year celebration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in office.
According to Mobereola, the officers where sacked on various degrees of unpardonable offenses which floats the ethics of the profession and standard practice.
He said: “Up to 100 LASTMA staff members have been dismissed while many were demoted.”
He advised all officials to ensure they maintain the ethics of the profession and desist from collecting bribes from the poor masses.
