Residents of Power line area in Ore in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State were thrown into confusion following the death of a 22 years old lady, identified as Toyin Afolayan, who died after eating a mango fruit in the area.
The sudden death of Toyin caused fear and panic to her father, Mr. Lekan Afolayan and the entire members of her family.
According to police report, the deceased, after eating the mango fruit developed stomach ache and cough and was later rushed to the General Hospital, Ore for treatment.

The deceased, the report hinted, later died while receiving treatment at the hospital.
The Police First Information Reports further hinted that the father of the deceased reported the incident at about 7:00am on the second day of the incident at the police station, Ore informed the police in his statement that at about 8:00am on the fateful day, his daughter ate a mango fruit which led to stomach ache and cough before she died at the hospital while receiving treatment.
Confirming the incident, the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, ASP Wole Ogodo said that the corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the General Hospital, mortuary for autopsy.
Ogodo said investigation is ongoing on the matter and urged parents to caution their children on what they eat.
