Kogi state government has appointed a female,Petra Akinti Onyegbule as the chief press secretary of the state.
Onyegbule happens to be the first ever female to be appointed into such position in northern Nigeria. Her appointment came on October 1st,
She was the former senior special assistant on electronic media for Yaya Bello.
Onyegbule took over office from Kinglsey Fahun, who is now the Director-General on media and publicity.
The appointment came about due to a reshuffle by the government.
Other offices also affected by the reshuffle are that of former senior special assistant on new media, Gbenga Olorunpomi, who’s now the senior special assistant on electronic media, having replaced Petra.
While Jewel Odaubu happens to be the new senior special assistant on new media.
