Knocks for Wizkid as he insults Don Jazzy, others
Some social media users in Nigeria have come hard on Grammy-winning singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid for taking a swipe at music executive, Don Jazzy.
Wizkid downplayed the importance of Don Jazzy in the industry while reacting to shade fired at him by Mavin signee, Ladipoe.
Ladipoe, a rapper signed to Don Jazzy’s label, recently mocked Wizkid for his controversial “hip hop is dead” statement.
He wrote on X, “Nigerian rappers that survived ‘hip hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own.”
A fan called Wizkid’s attention to the shade on Monday morning but the Starboy boss said, “lol never chatting to anyone signed to an influencer. Next.”
He also retweeted two tweets suggesting that he was referring to Don Jazzy as a social media influencer.
Wading into the matter, Media personality Adesope slammed Wizkid for disrespecting the whole culture.
“Don Jazzy is surely nowhere near the word ‘influencer’, that’s a shot at the whole culture as a whole,” he wrote on X.
Also, an X user with the name, @MoneyFarmer, berated Wizkid for his utterance.
He wrote, “This clown called Wizkid is a pathetic fool, why descend so low for clout?
Don Jazzy is a 100times of all you ever wished or wanted …..he is classes ahead forever. Mumu dwarf.”
Another X user, Oritsetimeyin thinks, “Wizkid is a very INSECURE human.”
“Wizkid has nothing left in him and in few years time he will be forgotten completely Don jazzy is building an empire and molding big contact all over the world while Wizkid is busy smoking weed,” a Facebook user, Michael Nwobu wrote.
Anyanwu RealMichael also commented, “It’s funny how wizzy comfortably thinks he’s flooring Don Jazzy, when we know he’s just a bitter person.
“The Don Of MO’Hits, the One that Signed Dr Sid, Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Rema and etc. Abeg, how many Artists Wizkid get hand for their growth?”
