The Nigerian Nollywood industry is really striving to be a house power of entertainment in Africa and in the world in general with the recent story lines which tells the story the African way.
Nigeriafilms.com took a ride to the recent premiere of Emem Isong and Desmond Elliot’s movie, ‘Knocking on Heaven’s Door,’ at the silverbird galleria, and observed the guests who turned out in large, shedding tears and at the same time smiling at the various scenes of the movie.
The movie which is based on domestic violence, betrayal, passion, faith and love, sends a signal to families on how to manage a home and also preach tolerance and true love.
Emem Isong who was full of joy for the honour she got from guests at the event, called on the government to put in place a working structure that could help woman who are going through various forms of violence in the country.
According to her, “We in Nollywood are trying to preach about violence against women, but the government also needs to put a structure in place that will help protect women in the society. We are doing our best, but the government needs to step up also.”
