Kidnappers release Anambra music composer Jude Nnam

The abductors of the Anambra-based Christian music composer Jude Nnam have freed him after nearly one week in captivity.

The development was made public on the Instrumentalist’s Facebook page in a post made by his family.

According to the post, Nnam was released from bondage in the last hours of Wednesday.

The post read, “The victory sound is here. Our dear ‘Ancestor’ Dr. (sir) Jude Nnam is back to continue the work of the Lord!!!”

Nnam was kidnapped last Thursday evening around 6 p.m. in Umunnachi, Anambra State while travelling for a church function.

Known widely as ‘Ancestor,’ Nnam serves as the national music director for the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and is a member of the National Liturgical Commission at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN).
