Kelly Usman Sampa, popularly called “Kelly, the fine boy no pimples” by his friends, is becoming a household name in the modelling circle at the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. Ever since his early school days, he’s always had a flair for fashion, entertainment and the show biz world generally.
Inspite of the stiff competition in the modelling arena, Kelly has featured in several notable billboard adverts beautifully displayed at strategic places in the city of Abuja. When asked how he’s been able to stay fit, he said “I exercise regularly, by going to the gym and also by watching what I eat”.
Kelly started his education at Inri Nursery and Primary School Ibadan, Oyo State. He proceeded to Gifted Secondary School Abuja. On completion of his SSCE, he got admitted into the University of Portharcourt, Rivers State where he studied Industrial Chemistry. He loves travelling a lot. This is something he picked up from childhood due to the nature of his father’s job, that saw them relocating regularly because of transfers.
He loves designers collections, from clothes, shoes, belts, perfumes, everything has to be with a touch of class. His favourite perfumes are Red Door by Elizabeth Arden, Unforgiven by Sean John, Apva by Bvlgari. For shoes, he would rather go for Roland Cartier, Patrick Cox, Gomilla, Next, Emporio, Armani, Prada. When asked why he is passionate for designers’ collections, he jokingly said “that’s what differentiates the big boys from the guy next door”.
Naturally a powerful dresser with a good fashion sense, Kelly’s favourite food is rice and plaintain with chicken. Asked what he hopes to achieve in the nearest future, he enthused: “I want to attend more fashion shows, travel abroad to improve on my modelling career. I want to also try my talent in acting movies. I did a lot of stage drama/plays while in the university.”
