Two Kannywood movie acts, Hadiza Gabon and Usman Uzee were among those given awards at the 20th African Hollywood Awards, that took place in London.

The event was attended by Nigerian and British filmmakers and actors at 29, Broadway Stratford, London E15 4BQ on Saturday

Gabon emerged winner of the best actress award in the African Films in Hausa Language category; Uzee clinched the best film producer award also in the same category.

The organizers of the event Mike Abiola and Golda-John Abiola, stated that it was aimed at promoting film making collaborations between the British and Nigerian Film Industries.

Meanwhile, Kannywood’s Adam Zango and embattled actress, Rahama Sadau, were ex-recipients of the award.
