Junior Pope: Adanma Luke apologises to Nigerians
Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Adanma Luke, has apologised to Nigerians over the death of her colleague, Junior Pope.
Recall that the actor lost his life on April 10 2024 after their boat capsized in the River Niger in Asaba, Delta State, while on their way to the location of Luke’s movie, ‘The Other Side of Life’.
Since the death of Junior Pope, Luke has come under diverse criticisms and was earlier suspended by the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN).
However, in a video she posted on social media, the actress took responsibility for the death of Junior Pope and others, and begged Nigerians for forgiveness.
“I have come to say I’m sorry. I’m sorry Nigerians. I took away your loved ones from what people are saying. I’m so sad that this happened on m deeds FAQ pip and it y movie set. Inasmuch as I’m trying to be very strong I’m not seeing myself to be strong.
“I’m so sad that they have to work for me when the incident happens. But I’m not God. It was destined to happen. A lot of people have been dragging me.
“Nigerians I’m not okay again, I don’t know what is happening to me, I didn’t plan what happened to Junior Pope and the crew members. Please forgive me,” she cried.
