Talented role interpreters, Joke Silva and Saheed Balogun, have starred in a new Yoruba film entitled Ile-Oko (matrimonial home), fully sub-titled in English Language.
Speaking at a well-attended premiere of the film recently, upwardly mobile female producer, Bisi Adediji, who also acted in the exciting movie, said that virtually all actors who participated in the production, including Joke Silva and Saheed Balogun, proved their mettle professionally.
She added that, actress Toyin Afolayan a.k.a Lola Idije, also featured in the two-hour film, while noting that producing her debut film was an onerous task, especially without external sponsorship.
“The film was completed without the financial backing of any marketer. Although it is not as if they have not been coming but I need to take my time to make a reasonable decision by choosing the right person that will show absolute commitment.
“I had to choose a trustworthy person, who will be more interested in the business and not just to make me regret why I embarked upon the project in the first place,” she said.
Having featured in several movies including Oniranu, Adediji described her six-year experience in the make-believe industry as challenging and interesting, while promising not to rest on her oars.
Among the dignitaries who attended the star-studded premiere of Ile-Oko at the Multipurpose Hall of Lagos Television, Agidingbi, Ikeja, were the helmsman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos Chapter, Alhaji Abdul-Rafiu Akanni Olohunwa, gospel artiste, Mega ’99, and Saheed Osupa among others.
