On Sunday, July 8, Team Nigeria, a collation of Nigerian athletes representing the country at the London Olympics Games, would be welcomed to a posh dinner in London ahead of the Games.

The event is put together by the body of Nigerians living in the UK called The Central Association of Nigerians in the United Kingdom (CANUK).‬

Over top 50 Nollywood stars are expected to grace the occasion. Stars like Joke Sylva, Olu Jacobs, Segun Arinze, Keppy Ekpeyong, Bimbo Akintola, Justus Esiri, OC Ukeje, Kemi ‘Lala’ Akindoju, Tosan Ugbeye, Ifeoma Fafunwa, Theodora Ibekwe and many others will be in attendance.

The dinner will hold at La Royale Banqueting Suites, 819-823, London N17 8ER, but with a £40 donation as its gate pass.

Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the UK, Dr Sarki Dalhatu Tafida will chair the dinner. Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, who is the Federal Minister of Sports, is the Special Guest of Honour while the Chief Host is the president of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, Engr. Sani Ndanusa. 

The event will be hosted by The Gambian actress, Fatima Jabbe and Charles Khiran, an inspirational speaker, leadership coach, trainer and consultant.

The Olympics Games starts on July 27 in London. Nigeria will be participating in the games along with other countries.
