Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo’s humanitarian services has not gone unnoticed as he has just been made the United Nations Population Fund ambassador for Obstetric Fistula in Ghana.
Sharing the good news, the actor stated that he has not been the perfect fellow but whatever his achievement has been, it has been the help of God so far. “I’m not perfect but I know I have God so I have peace.”
Obstetric Fistula is when a hole is created as a result of the head of a baby being stuck between the bladder and the vagina during child birth. As a result of the hole, the woman passes urine and sometimes defecates uncontrollably for the rest of her life. It’s only surgery that can fix this problem.
