Sunday, November 11, 2012 saw the galaxy of stars who trooped out in their numbers for the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards held at the TBS Auditorium, Onikan, Lagos.

The event, which started a bit late, ended up being a good show as guests had fun meeting with some Nollywood big guns who were at the event. Desmond Elliot, Laide Bakare, Iyabo Ojo, Femi Adebayo, Halima Abubakar, Ali Nuhu, Emem Isong, Lancelot Imasuen and many others were some of the Nigerian. Film industry heavyweights that stormed the event.

Uti and Tonto won the best kiss in a movie while Alex Ekubo won his first major award as a best most promising actor. The high point was the announcements of Joseph Benjamin and Femi Adebayo as the best actors in a leading role in English and Yoruba films respectively and Nse Etim Ikpe and Ayo Adesanya as the best actress in a leading role in English and Yoruba movies respectively. Ini Edo’s movie with Emem Isong ‘I’ll Take My Chances’ won as the best edited movie.

The the Iyabo Ojo family, it was a double joy as the actress and her daughter, Priscilla respectively won as the best actress in a supporting role (Yoruba) and the child actress of the year. The ceremony was hosted by Nonso Diobi and Sylva Nduka.
