Iyanya ‘regrets’ endorsing Yvonne Nelson’s book
Nigerian singer, Iyanya, has opened up on why he endorsed the controversial memoir of his Ghanaian ex-girlfriend, actress Yvonne Nelson.
According to the Kukere crooner, he endorsed the book, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,’ without knowing he was in the book or knowing the content.
Recall that the actress had written in a chapter of her memoir that her estranged lover was cheating on her with Nigerian actress, Tonto Dikeh, while the relationship lasted.
When the news broke last year, Iyanya promised to address the allegations of his ex-lover.
He noted that they are still on good terms and communicate regularly.
He said, “I endorsed Yvonne Nelson’s book without knowing I was in the book. We were cool, we still talk to this day, so I didn’t know that I was in the book. When the book came out, everywhere was buzzing. People were telling me I was in the book. But I have not read it till now.
“I know I promise to address the allegations she made in her book, but I’m not ready to respond. I’m not going to respond to stuff like that, being me comes with a lot of madness.”
