Iyabo Ojo, Lizzy Anjorin settles rift
The ongoing tussle between Nigerian actresses, Iyabo Ojo and Lizzy Anjorin, has been put to rest.
The development was confirmed by the two Nollywood stars in separate videos which surfaced online.
The two actresses, who have been at loggerheads, step out of the courtroom on Friday in a jolly mood, alongside their lawyers.
Confirming the end of the rift, Anjorin, who granted an interview in the court premises said the judge presiding over their case played a mediator between them.
“She is like a mother to us and she played the role of a mediator today. We’ve settled our differences,” Anjorin made mention.
On her part, Ojo reiterated that the judge gave both of them motherly advice to stop fighting and cursing each other on social media and embrace peace.
Asked whether she was happy about the court’s decision, Ojo said, “I’m always happy”.
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has given an update on her court case with colleague Lizzy Anjorin.
Recall that Iyabo had filed a defamatory lawsuit against Lizzy and demanded N500 million for damages. Unfortunately, Lizzy failed to attend court during their first hearing, which took place in February 2024. Following this, the court had served letters, which were pasted at Lizzy Anjorin’s house gate.
