Nigerian based fashion designer and creative director, Ejiro Amos Tafiri has become a household name in Nigeria. At three, she used to sit pretty in her dad’s car saying she used to love her matchy matchy look for when going out and today, she has their fashion world in her grips.
She has narrated an inspirational story of how she tricked her parents to be a fashionista ” I knew I didn’t want to go to medical school, I knew I wanted to study fashion” she said. She had tricked her parents into buying her a second JAMB form to be able to fill in her intended course of study, delaying the submission to make sure to tell her father at the last minute. He had refused but she chose the “right thing for myself”.
She had passed the two Jamb examinations and also gotten admission twice but refused to tell her parents. It was only when she got admission into an arts school to study fashion design that her dreams were fulfilled.
