Silverbird Group is celebrating its 35 years of existence and Chairman of the outfit, Ben Murray-Bruce, is making all necessary plans to make it memorable.

Giving an insight on how it all began, Murray-Bruce, who is now a Senator in the National Assembly, said he kicked off the company in 1980 with a N20,000 loan he got from his father.

“I founded Silverbird in 1980 with a N20k loan from my father and on November 21st, we will be celebrating 35 years. Thank you Nigeria!” he said.

The lawmaker urged youths use his company as inspiration.

“Silverbird is evidence you don’t need to steal to make it in Nigeria. If anyone has evidence (not innuendo) that I stole, please publish it,” he said.

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to grace the 35th anniversary celebration of the company later this month.
