Nollywood actor and producer, Ikechukwu Onyeka, has disclosed that his growing up in a remote environment such as Amukoko, a slum between Ajegunle and Ijora in Lagos state, helped shape who he is now.

Onyeka stated that going into acting was never his plan, disclosing that he was once a motorcycle rider at Surulere area of the state. He disclosed further he joined acting after having a verbal confrontation with one Charles Ugbonma, who later gave him his card after they settled their quarrel.

According to him, in an interview with Sun Newspaper, “I would say I am a child of circumstance here. I was an Okada rider at Surulere and one day, I had an encounter with one Charles Ugbonma. An argument ensued between us and it got to a point we settled our quarrel.
